And then went on to claim paying the resulting child $125 a week was “too much.”

You don’t hear many people going on record to call former Utah Jazz forward Karl Malone a real mensch these days. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he last played an NBA game in 2004. Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that he is a massive sack of fuck.

Exactly what kind of sack of fuck? Well, here we’re talking about one of those sacks that impregnates a 13-year-old girl and then tells a judge that paying $125 a week to help care for his resulting son is far too much for an NBA superstar to afford.

From the four-letter:

It would be one thing if Malone was unable to financially provide for his son, but he made more than $100 million during his NBA career. The Salt Lake (Utah) Tribune reported that when Bell’s grandparents initially took Malone to court for paternity in 1986, his second year with the Jazz, they requested Malone pay $200 a week. Malone didn’t respond to the suit, but a Louisiana judge ruled he was Bell’s father — after a paternity test showed that was indeed accurate — and ordered Malone to pay $125 a week, plus past and future medical expenses. Malone claimed that was too much and later reached a confidential out-of-court settlement with Bell’s family between 1988 and 1989.

Fast-forward to 2020, where live American sports for the most part have been replaced in the massive ratings department by an epic 10-part documentary about the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls titled The Last Dance. Where does Malone fit into this? You guessed it – tweeters around the country used it as a chance to remind the world that Malone is a heaping pile of pig shit.

So yeah. Don’t expect to see Karl Malone featured alongside the word mensch anytime soon…
