You know that there was at least one dipshit Cubs fan who left Wrigley Field last night talking about how much he liked the Cubs’ chances this year now that Anthony Rizzo was up with the big boys.
Well Scotty, sit the fuck down. It’s over. David Wright and the New York Mets curb stomped the Cubbies 17-1 this afternoon in front of 35,837 people who were using their friends’ tickets. Wright finished the day with 5 RBI, Daniel Murphy homered twice, and Mets pitcher Jonathon Niese walked. Twice.
